We are thrilled to have the opportunity to once again work with a distinguished luxury property development and design firm based in the heart of London, specialising in the creation of exquisite high-end residential projects. With a legacy spanning over two decades, this esteemed company undertakes prestigious residential ventures both in London and on an international scale.

The company is in search of versatile designers with substantial experience in interior design, interior architecture, and FF&E ideally. They prioritise assessing candidates based on their overall suitability rather than focusing solely on specific salary bands or being too specific, considering the need to fill two positions which allows for some flexibility in their criteria.


Key responsibilities   
 

  • Design and delivery of projects 
  • Understands the project’s design brief and work towards its successful delivery
  • Work with the senior design team to prepare documentation for client presentations, including the use of CAD drawings, sketches, 3d models, rendered elevations and mood imagery
  • Coordinates design proposals and development with internal and external design teams
  • Assists with the review of initial draft of drawing packages prior to review by the senior design team
  • Oversees workflow and deliverables for Project Designers in terms of delegation of tasks and communication within project teams
  • Attends site visits with senior team members and takes notes installation of goods to site meets with the specified project timeframes
  • Supports across the administrative aspects of a project e.g. filing, suppliers sourcing, managing incoming and outgoing drawings, presentation boards, etc.
  • Participates internal team meetings and brainstorming sessions; presents own work, actively explores and discusses creative concepts, offers suggestions and solutions
  • Manages own work timeframes in line with projected resource allocation and meets wider projects deadlines

  
Relevant experience 
 

  • Substantial proven experience managing high-end residential projects from inception through to completion
  • Understanding of the design industry and keeps up with industry trends and developments
  • Understanding of construction costs and a working knowledge of materials and suppliers and their respective costs
  • Some hospitality experience would be beneficial
  • Well versed in Interior Architecture and space planning

Skills and knowledge 
  

  • High end residential experience 
  • Good understanding of all design stages from concept to completion
  • Good understanding of interior architecture including spatial planning, joinery, finishes, etc
  • Good understanding of FF&E including dimensions, suppliers, and current trends
  • Competency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and InDesign essential
  • Competency in CAD, either AutoCAD or Vectorworks essential
  • Competency in SketchUp beneficial
  • Hand sketching skills 
  • Competency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel essential
  • Knowledge of budgeting software such as StudioDesigner and EstiPC beneficial
  • Design flair matched with pragmatism, excellent communication skills, good problem-solving skills, team player, strong desire to learn
  • Keen eye on FF&E and art
