About the Role
Experienced Interior Designer - unique opportunity
£40,000 - £55,000
West London
We have been approached to act exclusively on behalf of a newly established interior design team within a larger company.
This studio is led by a high-profile designer who, throughout their career, has worked with one of most celebrated names in the industry and is now spearheading an exciting evolution in projects spanning the residential and hospitality sectors. Previously, the company collaborated with external interior design studios, but they are now bringing this expertise in-house to work on both private clients and a personal portfolio for the owner, a UHNW individual.
They currently have multiple high-end projects underway, requiring an experienced interior designer with a well-rounded skill set to join the team.
As this is a new start-up, candidates need to be flexible, hands-on, and ready to take on a multifaceted role. Stylistically, the projects can be described as comfortable luxury with a curated, eclectic edge, blending vintage and contemporary elements to create spaces that feel effortlessly chic and lived-in rather than overly formal. Interiors are warm and inviting, with rich textures, cozy seating, and layered fabrics, often combining mid-century furniture with antique or custom pieces for a collected-over-time feel. The color palette tends to be muted, often accented with metallics, bold artwork, and antiques. Overall, the style embodies relaxed sophistication: luxurious yet unpretentious, stylish yet deeply comfortable.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in both administrative and design work, combined with a highly organised, logical, and methodical approach. They are creative, proactive, and hands-on, with strong initiative and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team. They have a proven ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and clients. With extensive knowledge of the UK supplier market and industry standards, they are experienced in liaising with consultants and wider project teams while maintaining a strong understanding of confidentiality and discretion. Flexible and willing to support all areas of the business, they present a professional, approachable, and polished manner, and are confident problem-solvers who remain calm under pressure, adapting easily to changing requirements. They are also willing and able to travel both in the UK and abroad and possess strong IT skills, including AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
