The successful candidate will join a collaborative and design-led team of architects and interior designers, supporting the development of high-quality interior architecture and design projects. The role will have a strong emphasis on 3D modelling, concept exploration, visualisation, and material testing.
This is not a traditional Part 2 position, but rather a creative, design-focused role within the studio, centred around Rhino-led design development and interior design exploration.
We are looking for a highly creative and detail-oriented individual with a strong passion for modelling and rendering, capable of helping to develop and visualise interior concepts from early ideas through to refined design proposals. The role would suit someone who is equally interested in how designs are constructed, with a sound level of technical understanding to support the progression of projects into later-stage drawing and technical development where required.
 
This position will have a strong focus on interior architecture and concept design, with a particular emphasis on 3D modelling, primarily using Rhino. The role will involve concept testing and iterative design development, exploring multiple ideas and design solutions throughout the process. The successful candidate will also work closely within the wider design team, contributing to collaborative workflows and helping integrate designs within ArchiCAD-led project development.
  
Core responsibilities:  

• Concept Design and Development
• Support the development of concept design from early stages (Stage 1,2,) alongside the project design team, including Creative Director, Interior Designer and Project Architect
• Help translate briefs into interior concept options
• Develop and test multiple design options rapidly using 3D modelling
• 3D Modelling & Rendering
• Production of high-quality Rhino (or similar) models for:  Apartments, communal spaces and residential amenity, material options and combinations, joinery, kitchens, bathrooms and FF&E furniture testing and incorporation
• Develop models used for: Design reviews, Director and team presentations and Design stage presentations and tender packages
• Production and Communication of Design Information
• Model usability and translation – work with the design team to ensure model incorporation into, or reproduction within ArchiCAD for detail design development
• Drawing production – work with the design team as needed to develop design within ArchiCAD and assist in the production of model coordination,development and production of drawing packages for tender.
• Document / schedule: Presentation material, Tender information, Material and finishes specifications and Joinery and built-in elements
• Assist in research, sourcing and rationalisation of materials
• Contribute to design narratives and presentation packs

 
Skills & Qualifications:   
 

• A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional 3D work of interiors
• Interior design or architecture qualification
• Proficiency in Rhino and Vray
• Experience in using Unreal engine and Grasshopper a bonus
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
• ArchiCAD competency a bonus
• Proficient in lighting, texturing, mapping and composition
• A keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of material properties. 
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
